Why this site exists
Most tea writing is either aimed at collectors or is a thin rewrite of a supplier's product page. Neither helps someone standing in a shop wondering whether a $18 bag of oolong is a reasonable purchase.
Leaf & Steep is written for beginners, home drinkers and anyone moving on from tea bags. Every guide answers a real question with specific numbers: temperatures, times, ratios and honest verdicts.
How we work
- We brew everything ourselves, with normal kitchen equipment.
- We publish the exact parameters we used so you can repeat them.
- We avoid health and medical claims and stick to flavor, method and experience.
- We say when something is not worth buying.
