How we test
Brewing guides are based on repeated side-by-side brews using weighed leaf, measured water volumes and a thermometer. We publish the parameters so readers can reproduce our results.
What we will not publish
- Health, medical or weight-loss claims.
- Recommendations for products we have not handled or researched in depth.
- Rewritten manufacturer copy presented as testing.
Sources and expertise
Where we reference processing methods, regions or cultivars, we rely on established tea literature and producers, and we describe our own experience separately from received knowledge.
Corrections and updates
Every guide shows a last-updated date. We revisit product guides at least annually and correct factual errors promptly when readers flag them.
Independence
Affiliate partners and sponsors have no input into ratings, rankings or conclusions, and no pre-publication review of our writing.
